The settlement puts an end to seven years of litigation surrounding whether insured patients paid more for drugs than customers in Walgreens' discount club.

Walgreen Co. will pay $100 million and terminate its generic drug discount program to resolve a seven-year-old class action by customers who say the pharmacy chain overcharges for generic drugs when they’re purchased using insurance.
