SpaceX pulled off the rocket booster catch maneuver during its eighth test flight but the Starship spacecraft exploded over the Caribbean, according to reports from residents.

SpaceX’s latest Starship test flight ended in a fiery explosion shortly after launch, scattering debris over Florida and marking another setback in the company’s ambitious plans for deep-space exploration.

Mariah Davenport and Dane Siler were flying back to the US when their flight turned around because of the SpaceX rocket explosion.
