Ferrari suffered a major setback in Q3 at the Singapore GP with Carlos Sainz hitting the wall before setting a lap time and Charles Leclerc finishing qualifying in the same way, but with an undamaged car.

McLaren's Lando Norris led the race from pole position, finishing a full 20 seconds before Max Verstappen, thereby reducing the championship leader's advantage in points.

Norris, who trails Verstappen by 59 points in the championship, beat his rival by 0.203s as Q3 all came down to one lap due to a crash from Ferrari's Carlos Sainz at the final corner.

McLaren’s Norris completed his third career win to cut into Red Bull driver Verstappen’s lead on top of the F1 table.
