Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has constructed three Super Bowl rosters in eight seasons, making it obvious he eats, sleeps, and breathes Eagles football.

There was a time before everything was automated, when general managers still mapped out their models and moves using physical materials, when Howie Roseman arranged the personnel of the NFL’s top-four teams inside his office in an obsessive collage.

There was Barkley's pricey addition, some low-cost, high-reward signings that hit, and a bonanza from recent drafts. It all added up to a return to the Super Bowl for Roseman and the Eagles.

That spring, Roseman drafted defensive tackle Jordan Davis in the first round, center Cam Jurgens in the second and linebacker Nakobe Dean in the third. That same weekend, Roseman traded for wide receiver A.J. Brown, to be followed in August with a trade for safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson.
