Greene County copes with Hurricane Helene damage
NCDOT: Helene impacts close Greene County roadway
GREENE COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - The North Carolina Department of Transportation says a roadway in an Eastern Carolina county is closed in both directions due to after-effects from Hurricane Helene. The NCDOT says Speights Bridge is impassable and closed in both directions until tomorrow.
Roads closed after flash flooding in Greene County
Drivers are advised to refrain from travel on Jonquil Road, Gardenia Road and Spotswood Trail westbound near Stephens Loop. Drivers also are advised to avoid the bridge on Dyke Road at the Albemarle County line unless fleeing from flooding.
