Former U.S. Open champion Coco Gauff fought back from a set down to beat Spain's Paula Badosa 4-6 6-4 6-2 at the China Open in Beijing on Saturday and set up a final with Czech Karolina Muchova. Double faults and a weaker second serve troubled world number six Gauff early in the match as Badosa won 75% of her second return points in the set.

Coco Gauff survived a first-set scare to beat Paula Badosa and reach the final of the China Open in Beijing. The American, seeded fourth in the Chinese capital, was forced to produce her best by Badosa, the 15th seed, who had been on a hot streak of form in her run to the last four, including beating the second seed Jessica Pegula.

Coco Gauff will face Karolina Muchova or Qinwen Zheng in the China Open final after beating Paula Badosa in Saturday's semi-final.
