The grocer’s parent company, Ahold Delhaize, said in a statement that it detected the cyberattack late last week. Food Lion Feeds, Feeding America donates meals in honor of Supermarket Associates Day Food Lion had to take some of its systems offline.

U.S. supermarket chain Food Lion was recently hit with a cybersecurity attack, the company confirmed last week. Ahold Delhaize announced Friday, Nov. 8 that a “cybersecurity issue” had been recently detected among its USA division and brands.
