Cheuvront, who was on an internship at the University of Cape Town (UCT), went on a hike on Saturday, 21 September, and her body was found by a search party on Sunday afternoon, 22 September.

Cheuvront, who went on a solo hike on Saturday, had not been heard from since she left her accommodation around noon to climb Devil’s Peak
