The Southeastern Conference has postponed Thursday night's women's basketball game between No. 5 LSU and No. 2 South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina, until Friday because of winter weather. The decision Wednesday comes a day after a winter storm dropped about a foot of snow in parts of south Louisiana and made travel hazardous in subtropical communities that possess little in the way of snow-clearing equipment for roads and airports.

South Carolina issued an apology to LSU and Tigers junior guard Flau'Jae Johnson on Sunday in response to the Gamecocks' DJ playing a song by Johnson's late father at the end of Friday's game between the teams at Colonial Life Arena.

Following the Tigers' loss to the Gamecocks, the DJ played a song by Johnson's late father in the arena and later made insensitive comments on social media.

The athletic department at the University of South Carolina has suspended its arena DJ and has issued a formal apology toward Flau’Jae Johnson for playing a song by her late father after a game.
