South Korea’s military says it suspects North Korea is preparing to send additional troops to Russia after its soldiers already deployed on the Russian-Ukraine war fronts suffered heavy casualties

Pyongyang has deployed about 11,000 soldiers to support Moscow's forces in Russia's western Kursk region, according to Ukrainian and Western assessments, which Ukraine seized in a surprise attack last year. More than 3,000 have been killed or wounded, according to Kyiv.

Lt. Gen. Kyrylo Budanov said Pyongyang has already provided Russia with 120 self-propelled artillery guns and 120 multiple launch rocket systems, with more to come.
