Karan Johar declared that he has stopped giving in to star demands, and no longer pays actors what they want because they can't guarantee hits.

Zoya Akhtar and Karan Johar were part of a directors roundtable where the latter said that male stars have to reassess their remuneration.

Citing his latest production, Kill, he explained how the film’s concept demanded a newcomer because established actors were asking for sums that matched the film’s entire budget.

To this, Karan gave a long explanation. He said, “What is your last couple of films? How much have you opened to? With what right are you asking me fo
