Garmin is ready to take the wraps off its latest fitness tracking smartwatches at CES 2025. The Instinct 3 lineup marks the first time the series has featured an AMOLED display and comes joined by a new solar-powered option.

Garmin produces more variations on the smartwatch theme than anyone else, and the Instinct series is the range that prioritizes battery life first and foremost (with a little help from solar charging).

The setup of the Instinct 3 range mirrors the Garmin Fenix 8 range, which also has solar, AMOLED and a cheaper E model. The Instinct 3 is likely to draw some customers away from the flagship Fenix 8, which is much more expensive, though does offer some key upgrades including offline maps.

Suitable for multi-day hikes and long camping trips, Garmin claimes this sports watch has up to 24 days of battery life in smartwatch mode, and nine days in always-on mode. Available in the 45mm and 50mm sizes,
