Chula Vista now joins a growing list of cities in the South Bay and San Diego County to declare a state of emergency over the Tijuana River sewage crisis.

Districts 3 and 4 — are up for a vote Tuesday. District 3 covers Chula Vista’s southeast, including Otay Ranch. District 4 encompasses the southwestern part of the city of Chula Vista, including portions of the 805 and 5 freeways.

Chula Vista has joined other cities in declaring a state of emergency over the Tijuana River sewage crisis. The city council voted unanimously to approve a resolution introduced by Mayor John McCann Tuesday evening.
