Mike McCarthy is out in Dallas, and the first Cowboys head coaching search since the 2019 offseason is underway. We’ll be keeping track of all the developments, interviews, and rumors below ( Deion Sanders, anyone ?), as the organization closes in on a new leader.

Via Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the Cowboys are expected to interview former Jets coach Robert Saleh. It’s the first official name to emerge in the search for the successor to McCarthy. And there likely will be more than a few interviews by the Cowboys, if only to make the reality show last for as many episodes as possible.

Robert Saleh didn’t get the Jets to fly in three-plus years there, but he has 2 of Super Bowl appearances (and 1 win) on his NFL resume.
