UK's privacy watchdog, the Information Commissioner's Office, has launched an investigation into how TikTok, Reddit and Imgur safeguard kids' data

Reddit's Alexis Ohanian joins efforts to buy TikTok US, aiming to transition the platform to blockchain for user data control.

The parent company of TikTok has offered US employees the chance to sell shares they might hold in ByteDance, a privately owned company, which could have a knock-on effect on any eventual sale of the social media app.

The UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) launched an investigation into ByteDance's (BDNCE) TikTok, online forum Reddit (NYSE:RDDT), and image-sharing site Imgur regarding how these companies use children's personal data to generate recommendations through their algorithms.

Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit, has revealed that he is considering acquiring TikTok US and integrating it onto a blockchain.
