A dog owner whose XL bully attacked a police officer in Leicestershire has been jailed. The officer was inside a property in Lewis Close, Ibstock, for "less than a minute" when the dog got through a kitchen door,

An XL bully dog clamped its jaws onto a police officer’s leg, leaving him with serious injuries, dramatic bodycam footage from Leicestershire Police shows. Two officers attended an address wanting to speak to Aden Hollyoake on 26 October 2023.

A dog has been euthanised and its owner injured after they were attacked by an XL bully, according to police. It happened in Broadmead Avenue, Northampton, at about 19:20 GMT on New Year's Day.
