An air quality warning was issued for New York City, following a series of wildfires across the Tri-State area.

Wildfires were burning from one end of New Jersey to the other on Friday after one of the driest months on record, leading New York City to issue smoke warnings and forcing farmers to take steps to protect their harvests.

A bout of dry weather in the Northeast has fueled wildfire conditions in New Jersey, with several fires burning in the state.
