Sevier County officials on Sunday released an updated list of county areas under evacuation orders. While some residents have been cleared to return to their homes, others areas are still closed.

The Tennessee Valley Authority is taking steps to accommodate floodwater as storms continue moving through East Tennessee.

An evacuation order has been issued for the Deerfield Mobile Park and the lower side of Bingham Island subdivision in Sevier County, according to the Sevier County Emergency Management Agency. According to the EMA,

However, residents in the area say road conditions like flooding aren’t that surprising. “No, when it rains three or four days, this is the norm. It rises pretty quick. You got to be ready for it,” said Sevier county resident and “The Company” LLC’s Nate Raney.
