Sources said out of the 20 fresh Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) companies ordered to be rushed to Manipur include 15 from the CRPF and five from the Border Security Force (BSF).
Amid Escalating Violence, Home Ministry Deploys 20 Additional CAPF Companies In Manipur
Of the newly dispatched CAPF companies, 15 are from the CRPF, while five belong to the Border Security Force (BSF), sources added. These reinforcements join the existing 198 CAPF companies in Manipur, initially deployed following ethnic clashes in May of last year, which resulted in over 200 casualties.
