Police shot a man Friday afternoon in the heart of this city's business district after an armed robbery occurred nearby, officials said. At approximately 3 p.m., Covington police officers responded to the U.

Police said there was an officer-involved shooting in the 600 block of Madison Avenue, a popular area that includes Hotel Covington, multiple restaurants and shops.

A bank robbery suspect was seriously hurt after being shot by officers in Kentucky Friday. Around 3 p.m. Covington police officers were called to the U.S. Bank on Madison Avenue for an armed robbery. Officers saw a man matching the suspect’s description less than a block from the bank and attempted to detain him, according to a media release.

Boise Police Department are seeking additional information in regard to an armed robbery at a local bank this evening.

A bank on the 4700 block of North Academy Boulevard by Flintridge Drive was robbed Thursday afternoon, according to an online blotter entry from Colorado Springs police. Two people entered the bank, allegedly demanded money from the tellers, and left in a vehicle shortly after 1 p.m. with "an undisclosed amount" of money, police said.

Authorities have released surveillance photos and are asking the public for information to help identify both suspects.
