Diyar Nurgozhay didn’t come close to making weight for his first UFC fight. The recent Contender Series signing tipped the scales at 210.5 pounds, 4.5 pounds over the limit (including the one-pound allowance for a non-title fight) for his main card light heavyweight bout with Brendson Ribeiro at UFC Vegas 104 on Saturday.

The scale shenanigans almost meant a whopping 23% of Saturday's 13-fight card at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas would've been contested with weight-related caveats.
