Major Texas winter storm is gearing up to push into western parts of the state. A Winter Storm Warning is now in place for the Dallas, Arlington and Fort Worth areas from Thursday morning through Noon Friday.

Bitterly cold temperatures from Amarillo to Dallas will set the stage for what promises to be a significant winter storm in North Texas.

HOUSTON - The next Texas winter storm is almost here, and it's going to be ugly. Houston will avoid the worst of it. Wednesday will be cloudy, breezy and cold, so bundle up. Highs will be in the mid-40s. Thursday gets interesting. Ice and snow begin for north-central and North Texas.
