Soccer fans arriving in North America for the 2026 World Cup have been promised help with their cell phone coverage.

FIFA has signed yet another blue-chip U.S. company as a sponsor for the 2026 World Cup in North America, adding Verizon as the tournament’s official telecommunication services sponsor. The deal puts the telecom giant in the "global sponsor" tier for the event,

Verizon has signed a deal with FIFA to be the official telecommunications partner for the 2026 men's World Cup in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The company also announced Tuesday it will be the "tournament supporter" for the U.

Verizon is the third US-based brand in a month to sign up as a 2026 Fifa World Cup sponsor, after Bank of America and Frito-Lay.
