Shaboozey is two weeks away from tying Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” as the longest-running chart topper in Billboard Hot 100 history.

Shaboozey ’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” holds at No. 1 for a 17th total week atop the Billboard Hot 100. Over the chart’s 66-year history, the song is now outright the longest-leading No. 1 ever by an artist with no accompanying acts, surpassing the 16-week command of Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” in 2023.

A couple weeks ago, Morgan Wallen knocked Shaboozey’s long-running No. 1 hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” off the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. That didn’t last long, though, as “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” made its way back to No. 1 and hit 16 total weeks, which tied it for the second-most ever.

The musician’s monster hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 17 weeks in a row, making it the longest-running No. 1 song by a solo artist in the chart’s history. On Monday, the breakout artist and his infectious tune surpassed the previous record set by Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” in 2023.

The other two hits include 16, Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s 2017 banger “Despacito” featuring Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men’s 1995 collaboration “One Sweet Day.” However, Lil Nas X’s 2019 breakthrough track “Old Town Road” (the version that features Billy Ray Cyrus) still maintains the overall record.
