Attorneys for President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday asked the U.S. Supreme Court to block criminal sentencing in his hush-money case in New York set for Friday in Manhattan.

WASHINGTON — President-elect Donald Trump asked the Supreme Court on Wednesday to block a New York judge from sentencing him Friday over his felony conviction in a hush money case.

The president-elect is asking the Supreme Court to halt the sentencing after both Judge Juan Merchan and an appeals court refused.
