Manchester United have reached a broad agreement with Lecce for the transfer of Patrick Dorgu for €30million (£25.2m) plus €5m (£4.2m) in add-ons. The Serie A side had been holding out for €40m (£33.6m) but negotiations have brought the figure to below United’s aim of a total £30m package with the add-ons a split of both simple bonuses and others that are more difficult to achieve.

Patrick Dorgu was expected to arrive in Manchester on Thursday to finalise his move and sign his contract. All parties have come to an agreement, including the player agreeing to personal terms. However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now revealed there has been a slight delay with United rescheduling Dorgu’s medical.
