The Congolese army said on Tuesday that M23 fighters had made a "breakthrough" in the east of the country after the armed group seized Minova, a trading hub that supplies the city of Goma.
DR Congo President Felix Tshisekedi Saturday ruled out direct talks with the Rwanda-backed M23, saying it would give legitimacy to the armed group which occupies much of the country's east.
