A gun battle broke out between security forces and terrorists in Kashmir’s Bandipora district, with several terrorists believed to be trapped. The incident follows recent deadly clashes in the region which resulted in casualties among both security personnel and civilians.

The gunfight broke out at around 9:00 am in the forest area connecting Dachigam and upper reaches of Nishat area.

An exchange of fire erupted between terrorists and security forces in Srinagar's Zabarwan forest area on Sunday, following a joint operation initiated by the police and security forces based on intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists.

A gunfight between militants and security forces erupted in Srinagar's Harwan during a cordon and search operation on Sunday. No casualties have been reported so far.
