Consumers who have these milk products in their refrigerators are encouraged to return them to their places of purchase for a full refund or exchange. Lactaid milk sold in Michigan recalled over possible almond contamination Sep. 23, 2024, 2:15 p.m.

HP Hood, the manufacturer of Lactaid Milk products, along with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), issued a voluntary recall of 96-ounce containers of Lactaid Milk that may contain “trace amounts of almond, which is not listed on the label,” the FDA said in a Sept. 20 announcement.

If you have Lactaid brand lactose-free milk in your refrigerator, you may want to check the UPC to see if it's part of a wide-ranging recall for allergen risks.

Lactaid milk is being recalled in 27 states due to trace amounts of almonds, a popular allergen, potentially being present. THe FDA issued the recall.

The company behind the recall, HP Hood LLC, is recalling all 96-ounce containers of Lactaid whole milk, fat-free milk, 2% milk, 1% milk, and 2% Calcium Enriched milk shipped to retailers and wholesalers between 09/05/24 and 09/18/24.
