Mougey, alongside head coach Aaron Glenn, was introduced at One Jets Drive on Monday during their introductory press conference. Glenn is a known commodity in New York as a former Jets player. Mougey is more of a new face. Plenty was learned about Mougey during his presser and he touched on numerous Jets-related topics at the event.

Mougey revealed when he was working as the assistant general manager with the Denver Bronocs he was part of a group that interviewed Glenn for a past head coach vacancy there. The GM said he liked what he heard back then and thinks the same coach is now in New York.

The Jets realized they needed to have a head coach with juice, and once they zeroed in on Aaron Glenn, they knew they wanted him as the leader of the organization.
