Apple's upcoming entry-level M4 14-inch MacBook Pro may be capable of supporting up to two external displays, up from one display supported

Apple plans to release its M4 Mac Studio and Mac Pro models by mid to late 2025, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman in the latest Power On newsletter. These upcoming devices will feature Apple's next-generation M4 chips, making them among the last Macs to be updated with this new chip technology.

I’m led to conclude that there’s a simple explanation for Apple holding back the MacBook Air – twice now – when it introduces a new wave of Mac products. Apple simply wants its shiny new M4 chip to look good – and it’s easier to showcase that in a Pro-level laptop with active cooling, rather than the slimmer, passively-cooled MacBook Air.
