Hi. Nope, 3 days is not enough. We spent 7 days and ran out of time. Gateway to India is a must and while you are there see if you can do the tour of the Taj Hotel. Things to see:- …

Hi. Nope, 3 days is not enough. We spent 7 days and ran out of time. Gateway to India is a must and while you are there see if you can do the tour of the Taj Hotel. Things to see:- Dhobhi Ghat, Marine Drive, Gateway of India (both night & day) & Hotel Mumbai, Victoria Terminus, Gandhi´s House to name some.

If you mean do small boats depart from Gateway of India then yes it is possible. A boat trip to an island called Elephanta leaves from Gateway of India, meant to be worth it. Mumbai an amazing place but be prepared for crazy traffic and wonderfully warm people.
