The palace is good, however @ €36(1200 lira) per adult is not worth it. For a single person may it ok but for a family of 4 it’s 150€, it’s a bit too much. Full review by anil r

You absolutely can do it on your own. You just walk into the ticket office, which is right on the property, then queue to get into the inner courtyard area and there's another booth …

You absolutely can do it on your own. You just walk into the ticket office, which is right on the property, then queue to get into the inner courtyard area and there's another booth where you can get the audio sets, which are free, and you do not have to lose your place in the queue. No pre-reservation required unless you are planning on going at a particularly busy time. The tickets are fairly expensive.

I went on 10 April 2022, there was no way to book tickets online and so I went in person at 9am when it opened. The line was not long, only about 3-4 people were in the line and it went fast. Anyone could buy tickets independently, a guide was not necessary. There was a small extra charge to get an audio guide, which I recommend as it was helpful to learn more.
