Yamaha RX-V6A 7.2 channel 4K / 8K Dolby AV Receiver Review

They only announced two such 8K AVRs and this is the upper model. Our company (Madrona Digital) is a dealer for Yamaha so I was able to purchase this at a discount for testing. Retail cost is US $600.

I’m currently looking to make the move to an AV set up and speakers for Atmos and PS5 gaming and am currently drawn between this unit and the Denon AVR-2700H. I’m moving from a Yamaha YSP-2500 soundbar which was decent without ever blowing me away.

WEBJan 16, 2022 · Yamaha RXV6A audio cuts out. Recently bought the Yamaha RXV6A and downloaded most recent firmware (1.48). Have my Samsung Neo QLED hooked up through the eARC HDMI cable. Whenever I watch anything I’ll get intermittent periods where the sound will cut out. Then after a few seconds the sound will start working again.

WEBDec 1, 2014 · Now I have the Shield and Virgin box into hdmi 1&2 on the V6a and the output into the tv. All worked well for 2 days and then a new issue. Now the tv turns on, amp turns on but tv displays ‘no signal’ everything is on and should be working. Again the only way to get the V6a to output to the tv is to pull the plug, wait 5mins and power on again.
