Pair bonding is an option for some DSL connections that increases the bandwidth of single line DSL service. With typical DSL service, there is one pair of copper wires are used (two wires). With pair bonding, two pairs are used (four wires), essentially doubling the internet speed. With pair bonding, speeds can reach up to 140 Mpbs.

If you are not yet familiar with bonding (ITU-T G.998.x standards), this is simply using two pairs of copper wire rather than a single pair in order to offer service providers the ability to increase data rates to existing subscribers or to reach longer distances to attract new subscribers.

In short, pair bonding offers the ability to utilize and combine the speeds of 2 pairs (ADSL2+ or VDSL2) and deliver up to 200 Mbps in some instances, continuing to be a godsend for those end users whose access lines fall outside the maximum reach limit for service deployment on a single wire pair.
